About Zense
Zense is an a cappella group founded in 2009. The name ‘Zense’ is originated from ‘sense’. Its pronunciation is similar to the Chinese word ‘聲’ (literally mean voice), which reflect the enthusiasm of the group in exploring the possibilities of human voices, offering new and refreshing sensation to the audience. The members of Zense also hope to connect audience with their voices and to spread harmony through harmony.
Since their debut in Jan, 2010, Zense had performed in numerous occasions, including Gold Coast Festival 2010 and 2011 Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival. Zense had held concert in the Fringe Club, JCCAC, Hong Kong Station and Fullcupmusic. In 2013, Zense took part in a theatical work The Twisted Fate. Apart from performing in Hong Kong, Zense shared their enthusiasm on music with the audience in Macau, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Taiwan and Singapore.
To bring the audience a higher standard of performance, Zense had participated into different master classes conducted by different renowned musicians around the world, including Ng Yin (Ng Cheuk Yin), Deke Sharon (The House Jacks), Michael Eimann (Slixs), Eric Monson (Metro), Hannu Lepola, Essi Wuorela (Rajaton) and Tobias Hug (The Swingle Singers).
無伴奏合唱組合Zense成立於2009年。名字的靈感源自英文字sense,其發音與「聲」相似,反映Zense熱衷於發掘人聲的可能性,追求聲音的和諧,為聽眾帶來與別不同的聽覺享受。此外,Zense期望能以歌聲把聽眾聯繫起來,共享音樂的樂趣。
自2010年1月作初次演出後,Zense便長期在不同的場合中表演,包括黃金海岸節2010和香港2011國際無伴奏合唱節,更曾在藝穗會、賽馬會創意藝術中心、港鐵香港站和呼吸音樂中舉辦音樂會。在2013年,他們參與了舞台劇《孤城劫》的演出,廣受好評。除活躍於香港外,Zense也曾到澳門、深圳、廣州、台灣和新加坡演出。
此外,Zense亦積極參與多個大師班,接受著名音樂人的指導,包括伍賢 (伍卓賢)、王溪泉 (歐開合唱團)、Deke Sharon (The House Jacks)、Michael Eimann (Slixs) 、Tobias Hug (The Swingle Singers) 、Hannu Lepola、Essi Wuorela (Rajaton) 及Eric Monson(Metro),藉此提升水準,為觀眾帶來更高水平的演出。
